A domestic EPC will provide you with a rating that will allow you to see how energy efficient your property is. An EPC will provide you with your estimated energy costs, environmental impact rating as well as recommendations to improve your energy performance. Domestic EPCs are valid for 10 years and we can complete them in just 2 to 3 days.
Commercial EPCs are for non-residential properties and are valid for 10 years. Like domestic EPCs they will provide you with a rating that will allow you to discover how efficient your building is. We will examine every component in your home including the floor plan, elevations and roof plans and use government approved SBEM software to analyse our findings. A Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) is required for all new build dwellings, converted dwellings and some extensions. SAP calculations will work out your fuel costs and energy consumption and are used to support your EPC rating. This can then be used by building control to sign off on design and construction when it is complete.
Building regulations stipulate that all new builds should not exceed 125 litres per person, per day. Our water calculations will predict your water consumption in line with Part G of The Building Regulations. These calculations will support your SAP calculations and Energy Performance Certificates. An SBEM calculates how much energy and carbon emissions a building will use based on its size, orientation, geometry and construction. If you are planning to construct a new building, then a SBEM is legally required at both the design stage and when construction is completed. If you are a landlord with a rental property, you are legally required to check your electrical systems every 5 years. An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) will highlight any risks, detect any potential issues and ensure any risks are managed properly.
